Ra Node

RA is PBG.io’s proprietary node, connecting our infrastructure directly to the Cardano blockchain. Its mission is to ensure that every protocol operation—especially those of the DVP (Decentralized Vault Portfolio)—is executed with greater speed, stability, and accuracy, reducing reliance on third parties and enhancing the user experience.

What is a node in blockchain?

A node is a server that participates in the network: it stores the ledger’s history, validates transactions, and propagates information to other nodes. Nodes are what make the blockchain decentralized, secure, and auditable.

Why does PBG operate its own node?

Operating RA gives us a direct and reliable pathway to the network, avoiding the bottlenecks of public nodes and external services. This results in:

  • Faster confirmations for DVP mint and burn operations.
  • Higher-fidelity on-chain data for decision-making and pricing.
  • Real-time monitoring of protocol status.

Fewer points of failure and greater system resilience.

How it Works

The DVP protocol operates through audited smart contracts on the Cardano blockchain, establishing a non‑custodial structure for managing tokenized portfolios.
Participants enter or exit by minting and burning the DVP token, which represents a proportional share of the underlying assets. Every movement is recorded on‑chain, ensuring real‑time transparency and removing third‑party risk. Portfolio valuations are updated via PBG’s oracle framework, synchronizing on‑chain state with high‑fidelity market data across digital assets and RWAs.

How does RA Node work within the protocol?

RA is part of PBG’s infrastructure stack, alongside the DVP, the oracle system, and machine learning models. In Cardano, RA enables deterministic execution routes, offering greater visibility and operational control so the protocol can run in a non-custodial way (the user retains control of their assets).
Its name refers to Ra, the sun god and creator of all things in Egyptian mythology, a symbol of light, power, and absolute knowledge. In this context, RA represents “the eye that sees everything”—overseeing every operation, detecting network changes, and transmitting precise information to the rest of the infrastructure to ensure the DVP operates quickly, securely, and in sync.

Key Features

Direct transaction validation
RA connects to the network to propagate and validate DVP operations more consistently, helping reduce latency and variability that can occur with public nodes.

Real-time onchain observability
Telemetry, metrics, and alerts to track the state of the protocol and the network, enabling continuous auditing and faster operational responses.

Key features line

Data pipeline for oracles and AI
RA delivers reliable onchain data to our internal oracle and machine learning models, improving signals, pricing, and data synchronization.

Redundancy and operational continuity
A topology with multiple instances and failover to maintain service continuity and minimize impact during network events.

Security by design
Hardened environments, version control, and minimal-exposure practices. All relevant activity is verifiable onchain and independent of custodians.

Benefits

Security and Full User Control

Non‑custodial design eliminates intermediary risk and preserves uninterrupted ownership.

Transparency and Verifiability

Every transaction is visible on‑chain in real time, supporting independent review and compliance needs.

Diversification in a Single Token

A single DVP token provides exposure to a constructed multi‑asset portfolio spanning digital assets and RWAs.

Flexibility and Instant Liquidity

Participants can enter and exit at any time, maintaining full liquidity control without operational bottlenecks.
